I live in the tallest building you can see in this picture, Palace Court. Right up on the 6th floor. My partners lived here 11 years & we have certainly seen some terrifying weather on our doorstep but to see what this building have survived is amazing. I absolutely love living in this building & it is so beautiful but under appreciated, this picture is a real treat to see as there aren't may pics of palace court anywhere!

My grandmother was born and lived at 13 Vale Rd. St. Leonards on Sea Hastings. I remember the address because I had an aunt who lived in the same house until around 1965 and I was always fascinated to receive an airmail letter from England.
My grandmother emigrated to Canada around 1900 and she had postcards of the caves and the waves breaking over the Promenade and the castle ruins.
Grandma passed away in 1975 and for some reason I was missing her tonight and I Googled Hastings. I looked at picture after picture of places she used to tell me about.
I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to actually see these places in the time when she would have seen them.
Someday I will visit.
