Killick said I remember my grandmother, Elsie Marie Killick telling me stories of walking on The Parade with her parents on a Sunday afternoon and seeing the carriages of the well to do handing our coins to the poor as they drove along the parade. And waving goodbye to the boat loads of young men off to fight in the Boor War.
