I grew up with this view, although with a lot more buildings in it. I lived at number 6 Godwin Road, and this photograph could of almost been taken in the area which became our back garden in 1960. The large building to the right is I believe Sacred heart school and was also the accommodation for the nuns.
The house in the middle left on a hill is still there, and is in Harold Road, just over the brow of the hill on the left as you go north. The house opposite this, with the high turret, is also still there and is situated at the bottom end of Belmont Road (rough narrow road). Fantastic to see this, thank you!
