nice photo, but was wondering what street. i cant bring to mind what building is in the background there. is it the town hall or a church i havent recognised ?

on 24 Mar 2012 Alan Jenner said the road is station road, Town centre, it is now part of Priory meadows. Picture was taken from where Littlewoods is now towards the back of town hall . photo taken about 1952 Charlie is my wifes father. she was born at No 13 Station Rd in 1951

on 25 Mar 2012 tim said Cheers pal,,,thankyou for replying to me.I have to ask,,do you have other photo's of hastings that are on the 1066 website,,the site says it has over 200 pictures but i can only see 28.Perhaps im trying to access them in the wrong place ?And do us hastonians have any kind of reguler meetings or "new photo on the gallery" days etc.shant keep hammering you with questions,,is just im just getting started.

on 25 Mar 2012 Alan Jenner said we now believe that picture was taken during the 1940's as the cars are late 30's and before the wall to the old cricket ground was built of blocks, shown in picture are individual seperate posts with trees behind, (on the left )

on 18 Jun 2012 Alan jenner said Hi Tim, with regard to 200 pictures, you need to click PHOTOS on top row of 1066, then choose a section to view, then open it to view that selection of pictures
