on 28 Feb 2015 mrs lesley doodes said Oh my god my mum and dad managed this pub back in the 60s from about 1960 till 66 67 remember it when I was a kid was like a mansion to me in my memories remember old attic bedrooms top floor with old brass bedsteads remember it being so cold in winter talk about blast from past. -

It was here that the Grammar School uniforms had to be bought, and my mother was sometimes very distressed by the cost of them for myself, as my parents had separated and money was very short.
