I think John William Watson was at this school in 1914 /15/16? He was given a book prize for Biology.
At the age of 17 he entered Fleet Air Arm.
Does anyone have any other information about him? -
My father was born in Hastings in 1899 and was a student at your school probably around 1906 to possibly 1912 when the family firm of Moon and Garner, Builders and Joiners went bankrupt and the family had to migrate to Canada and the US.
If you can find any information on Cecil or any pictures I would appreciate it greatly. Dad told a few stories from those times but I do not have any real context for them.
Thank you, Bernard Garner (now almost 70 years old) -
My father would have been a student here around 1939. His name was Philip Thompson and lived in the High Street, Hastings. Anyone out there with any relatives there around that time…..

As a small child I used to live in Millward Road and used to see the Grammar School boys walking in 'crocodile' fashion past my house to go swimming at Hastings baths.
