As a child Kings Road was always magical at Christmas time when it would be decorated with coloured lights, the shops all open late into the evening, music playing and Father Christmas was there. Yes he really came to see us.

It truly was magical and school pals and I still recall the sense of what santa was soon to bring. Truly happy times

I remember it very well. A right groovy time had by all

I remember the Beehive Cafe a little further down from King's Road towards the sea. My mum took us there a lot during the late 70s. A long cafe with seats either side and the counter at the back. There was a Duke Box in there. I remember a woman putting "I can boogey" on. I was probably about 7 or 8. Amazing what you can remember! So many memories.
