on 14 May 2021 Christopher Watford said This brings back memories ! Probably c.1949, my father, a local architect, got the job of preparing plans for this huge property. One summer during school holidays, I went with my father to hold the end of his tape measure whilst he was measuring up the place. There were two separate buildings, known then as "Moreton" and "Little Morton", and it took many visits to complete my father's task, before he could draw up the plans.
