My mother in law used to live in woodbrook road near the lawn tennis club. Are there any photos of this anywhere?

On the right of this photo, there are bushes behind a metal fence and before that some pillars and an entrance to somewhere. Does anybody know what was there, beyond those bushes and pillars? Thanks
