Had the Hastings system not finished in 1959, and had Maidstone and District not taken over completely in 1957, regarding it as they did an operating anomaly in their otherwise all motor bus operation, there were plans to extend to the Bromsgrove, Hollington and Ore estates and also put another link in from Silverhill to Bexhill Rd, most likely via Filsham Rd.
