on 16 Apr 2013 Malcolm Hutchison said Great photos. I come from a railway family and lived in Railway Cottages - Bexhill Road from birth to 13. My grandfather was a engine driver and worked for Southern for 49 years. One of the engines he drove on a regular basis was Schools Class Lancing 904. I just wondered if you or contributors might have photos of this engine they seem to be hard to find.

on 04 Feb 2015 Sue Pierce said My husbands ancestors, the Gillham family, lived in 148 Railway cottages for several years. In the 1871 census George was a railway guard. Have been trying to find photos of the cottages

on 13 Jan 2016 Mary Stamp said My aunt lived in one of the railway cottages half a century ago. Try an estate agent Sue--you might find pics of the cottages. I believe they are still there as Zoopla show the property's present values.
