Kraven the Hunter

In the Marvel comics, Kraven was a Russian nobleman who became an obsessive big game hunter and, after mastering the sport, made Spider-Man his target to establish himself as the world’s best hunter. In this visceral, action-packed origin story, we see the complex relationship between Kraven (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), and how he starts down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.

The Grinch

The Grinch (Cumberbatch) is a grumpy, green creature who despises Christmas so much that he plots to steal it. The animation is gorgeous, the pace is breezy and Cumberbatch does a decent job with the voice, but the film is stolen by the Grinch’s adorable dog Max.
