Small Things Like These

Based on the best selling novel by Claire Keegan. This grimy, moving portrait of life in 1980s Ireland tells the story of Bill Furlong (Cillian Murphy) coal merchant, husband and father of five girls. He is a quiet man and good employer, but a conflicted soul, grappling with his memories and his town’s complicity in the mistreatment of local women housed in a Magdalene Laundry. A small story, set in a small town, addressing huge wrongs.
